We are happy to announce a wonderful project called “Summer Vibrations”!
As you may know, dublab (@dublab on Instagram) is a local non-profit radio station dedicated to the growth of music, arts, and culture. (You can read more at https://www.dublab.com.)
Throughout the whole Summer 2021 (until September 10th), dublab is bringing live DJs to the Echo Park Farmers’ Market (@echoparkfm), specifically every other Friday from 3PM to 7PM PST, as a way to celebrate the community, the Market vendors, local small businesses, and the work of non-profit organizations in the beautiful neighborhood of Echo Park.
Friend and neighbor DJ Super b (@bee.super), who has animated the market with his music and persona several times in the past, will open each Friday session, followed by a new guest DJ curated by dublab. All you need to do is come by and enjoy the Summer Vibrations from dublab’s sound-system, giveaways and more!
Summer Vibrations is conceived as a real celebration of Summer, where finally, after a long year of broken interactions caused by Covid, our community can come together to support local vendors, meet old and new neighbors, and enjoy the music from local DJs. It’s the perfect end of week place to gather, celebrate the community, while of course doing your market shopping!
As one of our goals at Nico is supporting a strong local economy, as well as creating a positive impact on the neighborhood, we are very pleased to be part of this project, side by side with two amazing local neighborhood assets, the Echo Park Farmers’ Market (a SEE-LA community market) and dublab. A special thanks for partnering with us on this series also goes to SEE LA (@seelaorg), whose mission is to build sustainable food systems and promote social and cultural activities that benefit both low-to-moderate income residents of Los Angeles while also supporting California small- and mid-sized farms and local small businesses.
